Tesla to show Cybercab in Beijing and Shanghai this week — static displays only

Official Tesla China Cybercab invite poster for static displays at Beijing Huamao Tesla Experience Store (Sep 17–27, 2026) and Shanghai HKRI Taikoo Hui LG1 north hall (Sep 17–21, 2026), gold CYBERCAB wordmark over vehicle silhouette.

Tesla plans to put Cybercab on static display in Beijing and Shanghai this week, according to reporting on a Monday company announcement. The shows are display-only. They are not a China sales launch and not the start of commercial Robotaxi operations in China.

CnEVPost reported on Sept. 14 that Cybercab will appear in Beijing from Sept. 17–27 at the Huamao Tesla experience store, and in Shanghai from Sept. 17–21 in the north hall LG1 of HKRI Taikoo Hui. CnEVPost framed both stops as static displays.

TeslaNorth, also Sept. 14, matches those venues and dates. It describes the Beijing site as the Tesla Experience Center at China Central Place (华贸) and the Shanghai site as 兴业太古汇 LG1 north hall. TeslaNorth likewise calls the events display-only — not selling Cybercab in China and not launching commercial Robotaxi with these shows.

Chinese tech press including TMTPost and NetEase have also covered Tesla’s Monday announcement as corroboration of the same display plan.
